Who Am I?
I'm a physician and aspiring cardiologist with a passion for all things tech. Clinically I work as an internal medicine resident, caring for patients of all sorts in inpatient and outpatient settings. I also conduct research in cardiology, a field I love for it's practical application of fluid dynamics and physiology. I am also a mostly self-taught (though I do have an undergraduate minor in CS) developer with a passion for web applications. I love developing software for the web because of it's combination of quick iteration, portability, and networking.
In addition to providing high-quality care to patients with cardiovascular disease, I hope to leverage my unique combination of interests and skills to play a role in healthcare's growing adoption of IT.
I deliver care to patients on Chicago's south side and regional referral areas in inpatient and outpatient settings. The broad nature of residency exposes me to varied clinical settings but allows me to pursue research and gain exposure to the field cardiology, my true love in medicine.
Currently the sole physician working a small Chicago-based startup to help facilitate primary care physicians deliver care for chronic diseases. In addition to offering clinical insight, I actively develop software for our web platform.
I worked to see the continued design, integration, and deployment of my award-winning mobile app (iOS/Android). Initially developed using C#/ASP.net and PhoneGap I worked with the group for this short period to help us migrate to Google Apps-based infrastructure.
